I can tell many stories of puzzle-solving, wielding wood with my hands and getting to the transformation. Carving, wood turning and creativity helped me construct the magical staff for Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings. I’ve destroyed flooring, pulled down walls and dug out boulders so I could create something beautiful. They say I have a lot of patience but the truth is I’m a perfectionist. Even the tiny rectangles of rare wood in the finest parquet patterns get my full attention. I am always moving toward the satisfaction of seeing a project right through to its successful completion.
